Clearing the land

We made a start clearing brambles around one of the first proposed treehouse areas. The brambles were so high they were growing into the trees.

The trees were set free and a pathway down the land was created.

Then in a short space of time ferns suddenly cropped up all over and have created a corridor, I think we  cleared the space just in time!

A little project

Just thought I would share a little project I have had on the go, I found this old chair in one of our barns and have finally finished restoring it. It has found a new home in our kitchen!

Weekend helpers

Thanks to Mum & Dad who were a great help last weekend, we now have a new bath panel and the ducks have a new bath!

A carpet of spring

The land has been changing so quickly and with all the rain has now unfortunately become a bit of a jungle, but we thought we would share some of the beautiful wild flowers that we have been enjoying through May & beg June.

They're growing up so quickly!

Babs & Julio continue to grow up fast, it will be time to put them outside soon so Steve and I worked hard this weekend to get the ducks quarters in order. They are not quite ready to sleep outside but spend most of the day out there now.

They seemed to like it and today they worked out they could actually get in and out of the water by themselves and so spent most of the day doing just that!
